County Tyrone – Names of the Innocent Proprietors whose Lands were Restored in 1701
Appendix B page 294
Precis from calendar of lands restored to Innocent Proprietors exhibiting the names of those innocents, and the dates of their decrees.
I annex to this Memoir, a precis, from the digests referred to exhibiting the names of the persons, who obtained decrees of innocence, the dates of the decrees and the counties in which the lands restored were situated and a like of the impropriations and tithes, passed over to the Established Church. The late Irish Record Commissioners relieve me from the necessity of annexing a similar precis of the persons &c, to whom lands were sold and conveyed by the trustees, as they have published a complete calendar of the deeds of bargain and sale, from the enrollments thereof in the Rolls Office of the Court of Chancery, where these instruments are also recorded.
The Parliamentary Commissioners of 1699 estimated the gross value of the forfeited lands to be £2,685,130, or about one half of the value fancifully set upon them by the Commissioners and submitted in their report to the English House Of Commons.
