Deaths
HETHERINGTON – June 3, killed in action, Private James Watson HETHERINGTON, Canadian Contingent, eldest and dearly-beloved son of Jane and the late James HETHERINGTON, Killyman Street, Moy, Co. Tyrone. “Thy will be done.” Deeply lamented by his sorrowing Mother, Sisters, and Brothers (three of the later on active service).
JOHNSTON – June 15, at her residence, Drumrainey, Magherafelt, Martha, relict of the late Adam JOHNSTON. Interred in the family burying-ground, Knockloughrim.
RAFFERTY – June 16, at his residence Kingarve, Dungannon, Bernard RAFFERTY ex-N.T. Interred in the family burying-ground Edendork.
SOMERVILLE – June 17, at his father’s residence, Kildress, Robert, the beloved son of David SOMERVILLE. Interred in Clare Church-yard, on Monday evening.
In Memoriam
BARFOOT – In affectionate remembrance of our dear son, W. Gordon, who departed this life, 22nd June1909. Ever remembered by his sorrowing parents, William and S.E. BARFOOT, Drumard, Cookstown.
MAGEE – Killed on 28th June, 1915, at the Dardanelles, Private James MAGEE, 1st Battalion Royal Inniskilling fusiliers, son of John and Mrs. MAGEE, Annagh, Desertmartin.
“His warfare is o’er, his battle fought,
His fresh young life could not be saved;
He slumbers now in a soldier’s grave;
The trial was great, the loss heavy to bear,
The angels, dear son, will tend you with care.”
