Chaplain 1942, served in Eng. & Scot. until demobilized in 1946. 16th Dec. 1952 resigned from 1st Castlederg. Colin CORKEY (mentioned above), was his son. Corkey then proceeded to have a War Memorial erected. Members of the British Legion attended this ceremony on 31st Oct. 1948. The Memorial was for those who served and lost their lives in WW2, 1939-45. |
