Amt of Assets £433/2/0In the name of God, Amen, I David Craig of Binnelly in the Parish of Donagheady and County of Tyrone, Farmer, not being at present well in body but sound of mind and judgment and aware of the uncertainty of Human life, do make this my last will and Testament. And I do give my soul to God who gave it, and my body to be decently interred.
My whole Freehold farm I value at Fourteen hundred and sixty pounds sterlg. after keeping for Peggy one Cunningham acre at the corner of the Fourth field to be enclosed from the rest with a wire fence also the Lime kill Holm and Cray up to the forth ditch except the Limestone quarry also a small house built for her at the Limestone rock to please my executors in one half year from the time of whoever gets my Farms to be to her for her life at one shilling rent yearly payable to whoever gets the Farm and to be theirs after her death; also to Peggy for same period one perch of solid bog for her fire yearly.
I leave to Samuel Craig my brother of the ned for his son David Craig the property of the Farms if he pays the sum of Fourteen hundred and Sixty pounds mentioned the Thrashing machine and Flax stone to go with the Farm and if he does not take the Farms then my brother George Craig (and if any of their sons dies The Fathers gives to another) of Drumcovet for his son David Craig the farms on paying the fourteen hundred and sixty pounds mentioned neither sons to get it from their Fathers untill of age nor to sell it without the consent of executors or any of them if living and if George does not pay for the Farm then my Brother Roberts son Robert James Craig gets the Farm on paying the mentioned sum of fourteen hundred and sixty pounds and if none of them pays for the farms then to be auctioned by my Executors any of them to give notice to my executors or the majority of them in one month from my decease if they will pay for the farm and the next one month more and so on and to pay over the balance of the amount after deducting what they get as legatees to the magority of my executors, for division, all my Chattle property comprising crop stock Farming utensils, Household Furniture to be auctioned and the cash of same with cash in bank and promissory notes all added to the first mentioned sum for the Farms and all to be divided in the following manner. To Peggy Murphy Nancy Kincade and Ann Lowry each Two pounds ten shillings for mourning.
To Peggy Murphy before the stock is auctioned a cow and her bedstead and bedding. To the missions of the Presbyterian Church ten pounds. I give to my Brothers Robert Craig of Binnelly, Samuel Craig of the Ned, George Craig of Drumcovet and James Craigs children four equal parts of what remains of the whole sums put together only Martha Craig otherwise Martin to be reduced Thirty five pounds on her sixth part of said one fourth part of the whole in consequence of her husband getting that sum from me before and to the Ballymaclinigan ones Robert Craig, Mary Craig, Jane Craig Margaret Ann Craig to get Sixty pounds equally among them over and above their sixth of said one fourth part, Joseph Craig to get only a sixth part of said one fourth part. The executors to have this carried out and divided causing no unnecessary delay to any of my legatees. And I hereby appoint my Brothers' Robert Craig of Binnelly, Farmer in the Parish of Donagheady and County of Tyrone Samuel Craig of Ned in the Parish of Tamlaghtfinlagan County of Londonderry, Farmer, George Craig of Drumcovet in the Parish of Banagher, County of Londonderry Farmer Executors of this my last Will and Testament, and in Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand seal this fourth day of May in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty five.
