Will - ROBERT LINDSAY, Surgeon of Strabane
I
Robert Lindsay of the Town of Strabane in the
Kingdom of Ireland a Surgeon being weak in body but of sound mind memory and
understanding do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in
manner and form following viz: First I give and bequeath to my Mother Lilly
Lindsay the sum of Twenty pounds to purchase mourning or to be disposed of
otherwise as she may think proper and all the rest residue and remainder of my
money or monies in freehold or personal Estate and Effects which I may die
possessed of or may hereafter become due or ------ I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved
Wife Jane Lindsay and my Daughters Susanna and Florinda Lindsay to be equally divided
between them share and share alike as soon as convenient after my decease and I
do hereby make constitute and appoint Mr William Clark of Lifford in the
Kingdom of Ireland aforesaid and Mr John McCrea Junior of Macherareach in the
said Kingdom my lawful Executors to this my last Will and Testament to see the
same duly executed hereby revoking all former
and other Wills by me heretofore
made In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal this thirtieth day of July in the year of our lord 1796

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator as and for his
last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in the presence of each other
have set our hands as witnesses hereto this thirtieth day of July 1796. /-/

On the thirty first day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand
seven hundred and ninety seven Administration with the Will annexed of all and singular
the goods chattels and credits of Robert Lindsay late of Strabane in the
Kingdom of Ireland and a Surgeon on Board his Majesty’s Ship Quebec deceased
was granted to Thomas Maine Esquire the lawful Attorney of William Clark and
John McCrea the younger the Executors named in the said Will for their use and
benefit now residing in the Kingdom of Ireland having been first sworn only to
Administer. // ~
