Will of WILLIAM NESBITT of Cloghogall, County Tyrone 1825
In the Name of God Amen I William Nesbitt of Cloghogall in the County of Tyrone Surgeon in His Majesties Navy being of sound mind and judgment and wishing to settle my worldly affairs do make and publish this my last Will and Testament this fourteenth day of February one thousand eight hundred and twenty five. I own and possess five thousand pounds vested in my own name in the three per cent consols. I give and bequeath the sum of eight hundred pounds of this fund to the family of my late Sister Margaret Mason of Kildrum to be divided as follows namely in equal shares between her daughter Susan her son Andrew Mason Willm. Mason son of the late Wm. Mason with half his share to his sister. To my Sister Ann widow of the late John McElhinny of Lisdivin the sum of eight hundred pounds in the like fund. To the three sons of my late Sister Elizabeth McClure widow of the late Thos. McClure the sum of eight hundred pounds of the same fund to be equally divided. My Brother the (Rev.) Richd. Nesbitt the like sum of eight hundred pounds of the same fund. To my Sister Martha Nesbitt the like sum of eight hundred pounds of the same fund. To my Sister Susan the like sum of eight hundred pounds of the fund. Should there be three children alive of the late Willm. Mason of Kildrum the share of ₤800 which it is my will they should possess namely the sum of ₤266.13.4 is to be divided in that equal parts between them. To my housekeeper Elizabeth Culhaghan two hundred pounds of the same fund together with own bed & bedding except the Bedstead with a ----- two years old and anything else she may justly call her own to be taken away without let or hindrance. The remainder of the furniture farming stock and utensils with money on hand after defraying funeral expenses I will & bequeath to my Brother the Rev. Richd. Nesbitt as also my interest in the land I at present possess. I nominate and appoint Robert Dunn Esq. M.D. of the Royal Fort Yard at Woolwich William Hatrick of Creaghcor and Thomas Ramsey of the City of Londonderry Merchant to be my Executors for the purpose of giving effort to this my last Will & Testament. I also request the said Wm. Hatrick and Thomas Ramsey to conduct the ceremony of my funeral in a suitable and proper manner. Dated at Cloghogall this 14th February 1825 /-/ Wm. Proved at London 19th May 1825 before the Worshipful John Danberry Doctor of Law & Surg. (surrogate) by the oath of Robert Dunn Esqr Dr. of Medicine one of the Exors to whom admon was granted being first sworn duly to admin. power reserved to William Hatrick one of the Exors. Thomas Ramsey the other Exor. having first duly renounced.//.
