Marriage certificate: Francis McCusker married Sarah Smith 9th April 1856 at St Austin’s Chapel, in Forebridge, in the District of Stafford in the County of Stafford, the Priest Edward Huddleston Registrar Edward Dawson.

Francis was 32, a bachelor, a groom, Sarah was 22, a spinster a servant. Their residence was Burton in the Parish of Castle Church. His father was William McCusker, deceased, gardener, her father was Thomas Smith, labourer. They married in the Catholic Chapel according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Church of Rome.
