Died at Farmhill, near this town, on the 19th inst. MR. JAMES McCREA, in the 84th year of his age, sincerely regretted by all who knew him. His piety was of that simple and unaffected kind, which delights more in doing good than making ostentatious pretensions to zeal: he contributed liberally to charitable institutions; procured instruction for the children of the poor; granted an annual allowance to many of the aged and destitute in his neighbourhood; and, in his last will, made provision for continuing his works of charity after the termination of his mortal existence
