Charles Quinn (son of Denis and Jane McKervey Quinn), b. Sept 1851; Dullaghan, Dromore; Arrived Portland, Maine 15 February 1871. Charles joined his brother John in Lowell, MA, and first appears in the Lowell City Directory in 1872. He married Catherine “Katie” Flynn 14 Aug 1879. Charles is believed to have returned to Ireland in 1884, but was back in Lowell in 1886. The last proven record of Charles is in 1894 in Lowell, but both he and Katie disappear from Lowell records by 1915. Charles is thought to have returned to Dromore c. 1916 and that Katie was already deceased. We have been unable to locate death or burial records on Charles or Katie. Since we have found no records of children having been born to the couple, we have concluded Charles and Katie were childless.
Isabella Quinn (daughter of Charles and Margaret McKervey Quinn), Lettergesh, Dromore; Bap. 13 Jul 1875 Dromore; in Lowell in 1900. Isabella is recorded in the 1900 US Census living in the household of her first-cousin, Daniel Quinn in Lowell. She married Joseph J. McCourt on 21 Sept 1904 in Lowell. It is thought there are living descendants of Isabella in the USA at this writing.
Ellen Quinn (daughter of Charles and Margaret McKervey Quinn, Lettergesh, Dromore; Bap. 3 Apr 1870 Dromore; in Lowell in 1900. Ellen is recorded in the 1900 US Census living in the household of her first-cousin, Daniel Quinn in Lowell. She is believed to have married a Patrick Campbell. It is thought there are living descendants of Ellen living in the USA at this writing.
