Notes by Eve Gray, transcriber: John Galbraith Snr of Roscavey, Clogherny Parish of co. Tyrone, made this 1739 Deed to pass his entire interests in Clanabogan of Drumragh Parish to Arthur Galbraith of Dublin, his son. John the younger, the eldest son had received Roscavey. This Memorial mentions the plate and cup that he had given his youngest daughter Rebecca. John Snr’s wife was Anne Marie Forbes.

A Memorial of Deeds of Lease and release bearing date
respectively the Seventh & Eighth Days of March One Thousd (Thousand) Seven Hundred
and Thirty Nine made between Jno Galbraith the Elder of Rascavey in
the County of Tyrone Gent of the One Part Arthur Galbraith of the city
of Dublin Gent of the other part By which Said Deed of release
the said John Galbraith for the sevll (several) Considerations therein Mentd (mentioned)
did Bargain & sell unto the said Arthur Galbraith in his actual
Poss’ton (Possession) then being by virtue of the said Lease All that and those
the Town and Lands of Clanebogan Situated lying and being in
the Bo (Borough) of Omagh and County of Tyrone aforesd (aforesaid) Together with all
Trees
Woods anderwoods Comons Comon of Pasture Profits –
Comodities advantages Emoluments Hereditaments xxxxx
Waters watercourses of appurtenaces whatsoever to the sd (said) Town &
Lands belonging or in any wise if pertaining To Hold unto
the said Arthur Galbraith his heirs and admd (administrators) forever and the
said Jno Galbraith the Elder for the Considerations therein stood above if
Mentioned did Transferr and make over unto the said Arth
Galbraith his Exts (Executors) Admes (Administrators) and Assigns All & singular the Terms
for years wch (which) he had in Lands and tenements by virtue of any
Leases to him thereof made & also all Leasesholds Interests Goods
Chattles Plate ready Money Furniture Stocke Cattle Corn
Grain of all things of Nature whatsoever which he the said
John
Galbraith then was or at the time of his Death should
be Possessed of Excepting always thereout the settlement already
made
on John Galbraith the younger and Excepting One
Plate Cupp or Con (Consideration) wch
(which) He the said John Galbraith the Elder thereby
made over as a token unto Rebecca Galbraith his Youngest
Daughter wch
Said Deed of Lease and release this & this Mem (Memorial) are
witnessed by John Wilson of the city of Dublin Gent, Wm
(William) Forbes
