Tuesday, November 1, 1836

The Quarter Sessions for the Strabane Division commenced on the 20th ult. and did not terminate till late on the evening of Saturday last. The two first days were occupied in considering the claims for registry; and the number of civil Bills entered amounted to 804. The Crown business commenced on Thursday last; there were no trials of any importance: we merely give a list of the persons tried and their sentences.

Found guilty of an assault upon JOHN GAMBLE, to be imprisoned for two calendar months, to pay prosecutor ten shillings, or in default to be imprisoned for one month additional, to keep the peace for seven years, himself in £10 with two sureties in £5 each.
