In the cholera hospital, Montreal, on the 7th August, Mr. William Henderson, of St. Therese, a native of Ireland and brother of the Rev. A. Henderson of Lisburn and of Mr. J. Henderson editor of the Newry Telegraph. He had been employed for the greater part of his life, before emigrating, as a confidential clerk in the office of the Belfast Commercial Chronicle and has left a widow and four children to deplore his loss.

He was present at the battle of Culloden, the capture of Quebec, at the battle of Bunker's Hill and numerous other engagements.

A man named John Hazlet, who was employed as a porter at Portrush harbour, died very suddenly on board one of the Derry steamers on Thursday, the 1st instant. While the steamer was discharging her cargo he was sent down to the coal hole to work, not long after he was found dead. He was an aged man and suffocation was the cause of death
