McBETH. On Wednesday night, at the Derry railway station, a man by the name of McBETH, a native of Strabane, a fireman on the goods train, was cleaning the engine, which was a short distance down the track from the station. He somehow got in front of the five o'clock train and was knocked down and killed. An inquest was held on the 27th ult., and the jury returned the verdict that the deceased came to his death by the train running over him, whilst he was in a state of intoxication, and no blame could be attached to any person or persons

DONNELL. The Honourable Justice, JOHN R. DONNELL died in Newbern, North Carolina, on Saturday morning last, 15th October, aged 75 years. The son of JAMES DONNELL, of Calhame, near Strabane, and brother of SAMUEL DONNELL, merchant, in Strabane. DUGAN. HENRY DUGAN, a car driver, left Simm's Hotel Strabane, at about six o'clock on Saturday evening with CAPTAIN STEWART and MONTGOMERY SINCLAIR, ESQ., as passengers, who he drove to the latter's residence at Hollyhill, about three miles from Strabane, which he left at about seven o'clock to return to Strabane. On Sunday morning a farmer found his body on top of a heap of stones and it was supposed that he was unsuccessful in mounting his horse which was found in a field nearby in the townland of Ballee. An inquest was held yesterday, before DR. HAMILTON, coroner, and a verdict in accordance with the facts was returned. The deceased who was of temperate habits, leaves a wife who is expecting their first child
