STRABANE MORNING POST

February 15 1825

Died Monday the 31st ult. MARY, daughter of the late MR. WM. McCARTER, of this town, aged 21

January 1 1828

The REV. STEWART HAMILTON acknowledges to have received from MR. ROBERT McCARTER of this town, Two Pounds, for the use of the Poor, being a sum awarded to him, for a violent and outrageous Assault

October 12 1830

At the annual examination of the Strabane Male School, in connexion with the “Education Society,” and under the patronage of the REV. S. HAMILTON, the pupils (108 present,) were examined by MR. MILLS, Inspector, in Spelling, Reading, Explanation, Geography, Writing, Arithmetic, &c., who expressed much satisfaction with the proficiency of the children, and the good order of the school.

The following is his report: “The state of this school evidently shows the zeal, competency, and attention of the Teacher, MR. ROBERT McCARTER.”

Married January 12, in the Second Presbyterian Church, Castlederg, by the Rev. Andrew Maxwell, A.M., uncle to the bride, GEORGE McCARTER, ESQ., merchant, of this City, to ELIZA JANE, only daughter of ROBERT McCAY, ESQ., merchant, Castlederg

Birth: On the 8th October, at Strabane, the wife of GEORGE McCARTER, ESQ., of a son

Married 28th March, in the First Presbyterian Church, Strabane, by the Rev. James Gibson, THOMAS SCOTT, ESQ., M.D., Woodlands, Omagh, to ROSA, the daughter of GEORGE McCARTER, ESQ., Beechmount

Birth: June 2, at the Glebe, Moy, the wife of the REV. H. McCARTER, of a daughter

June 25 1867

Married June 20, by the Rev. W.A. Russell, in the First Presbyterian Church, Strabane, MICHAEL H. SCOTT, ESQ., Woodlands, Omagh, to SARAH, daughter of GEORGE McCARTER, ESQ., Beechmount, Strabane

May 12 1868

Died 9th May, at the residence of his son in law, GEORGE McCARTER, Foyle Street, Londonderry, ROBERT McCAY, of Castlederg, aged 66 years. His remains will be removed from Foyle Street for interment in the New Cemetery, on Tuesday, (this day) the 12th inst., at twelve o'clock
