Blaney Irwin, of Larcor Rectory, Catherine relict of John Elliot Cairnes Esq. of Kilnatrusoge, and formerly of Saville Lodge, Knockmany*, now Mount Cecil, county Tyrone. She was sister to the late Mrs. Archdescon Dickson, of Hillsborough, and second and youngest daughter of William Moore Esq. formerly of Moore Hall, Killinchy, county Down.

An afflicted mother and six of an orphan family are left to mourn his loss.

On New Year's morning, at Castlereagh, in the county of Down, William Cottom, aged 103 years, formerly of the 43rd Regiment, in which he served 26 years, and was admitted an out pensioner of Chelsea Hospital in the year 1782. He was universally respected in the neighbourhood where he resided.

On Thursday, John Craig, glazier, and James Brown, labourer, were executed in front of the Court Houses in Paisley, Scotland. They were convicted of breaking into the house of Mr. Robertson, bleacher, at West Foxbar, near Paisley, on the 14th June, and causing him and his sister violence, and theft of articles of value. Craig left a wife and 3 children, and Brown a wife and 7 children. Previous to coming to Johnstone, a year ago, working as a labourer, Brown had kept an inn at Newtownards, Craig had resided in Johnstone for a period of 9 years
