The number of families recorded in 1948 (1st Castlederg)= 133

After seeking permission from the committee, to which they gave their assent, Rev. Corkey then proceeded to have a War Memorial erected. Members of the British Legion attended this ceremony on 31st Oct. 1948.
The Memorial was for those who served and lost their lives in WW2, 1939-45.
